GLAM is an organization with a focus on the art industry and cultural institutions. We recognize that there are extremely limited opportunities for inexperienced students to begin their path in the industry. Our club gives current University of Toronto students a chance to work on a variety of projects that connect them with art professionals from galleries, libraries, archives, and museums.

“In my undergrad, I wanted to pursue a career in cultural heritage, but as an international student, it was impossible to find internships or part-time jobs in the sector. Tired of chasing opportunities that would never become real, I created my own—not only for myself, but for the entire UofT community.
Founding GLAM meant creating a community of like-minded people and becoming a producer and strategist of the creative initiatives in the club, which would soon spark new career avenues for me. Cherishing that GLAM is still run, now by new students, and I look forward to the next exhibition!”
